ABORIGINAL SUNDAY

Aboriginal Christian Leader, Aunty Jean Phillips has invited Australian Churches to observe Aboriginal Sunday each year on the Sunday before January 26. Guided by Common Grace, many churches are taking up this invitation to honour the Aboriginal people in our church and civil life.

On Sunday 19 January, we will welcome Uncle Tom Little to speak. Tom is a Bindjareb Bibbulmun man, an ex-police officer, and now a full-time professional musician and an award-winning songwriter. One of his many achievements is translating the birth narrative of Jesus into Noongar which was published as Jesus Christ Boolanga Yira Nop-ang Koorlangwetta Bardip.Common Grace has asked us to take a group photo on this day IN BARE FEET. This is an action to acknowledge the traditional custodians on whose land we stand and with whom we stand in justice, healing and Reconciliation. If possible, please come wearing shoes that you can remove easily.
