Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy has directed that a Special General Meeting of Enrolled Members take place on Sunday 2 August following the 9.00am Eucharist to transact business that would normally have taken place at the Annual Meeting.
The Annual Meeting was postponed due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions.
Details of the meeting are as follows:
Special General Meeting of Enrolled Members
Sunday 2 August
At the conclusion of the 9.00am Eucharist
St Cuthbert's Church, corner Darlington and Hillsden Roads, Darlington WA
You can read the Annual Report, including the Rector’s report, here.
The meeting will:
receive the financial and other reports for the year ending April 30 2020. The Annual Report will be circulated via email before the meeting and available in hard copy at the meeting;
elect Wardens and a Parish Council for the coming year, who will serve until the Annual Meeting in 2021;
elect Nominators of Clergy who will serve if the position of Rector falls vacant.
From Sunday 19 July, the Annual Meeting table will be set up in the Parish Centre. This is where you can find forms and documents.
Only Enrolled Members are eligible to vote and stand for election. If you are not an enrolled member, you can complete a form at any time before the meeting. Forms will be available on the Annual Meeting table in the Parish Centre, and you can view the form online here.
Parish Council would benefit from some 'new blood'. It is a body that oversees finance, property, risk management, administration and strategic planning for the parish. Wardens have some additional responsibilities and also serve on the Council. If you believe that you could contribute, please speak to me or a current member of Parish Council, or just submit a nomination form.
The Nominators of Clergy are elected each year, but only have work to do if I resign. This is an important responsibility. If you believe that you can fulfil the duties of this role, please submit a nomination form.
