CHRISTMAS SERVICES AND EVENTS 2021
All attendees are required to wear a mask indoors, except children aged 12 and under, and people with a medical exemption.

Christingle and Nativity
In the Parish Centre and St Cuthbert’s Church
Designed especially for children and their adults. We begin by making a traditional Christingle with all material provided. Then, we’ll enjoy a short nativity play with carols. The whole program runs for about 45 minutes.

Midnight Mass
St Cuthbert’s Church, Darlington
Eucharist by candlelight with classic carols. This service is very well-attended, so please be early for your own comfort.
Saturday 25 December

Eucharist for Christmas Day
St Cuthbert’s Church, Darlington
A 'normal' Eucharist with carols. The service is kept relatively short, and is appropriate for people who would like a Eucharist on Christmas day before heading off to other commitments after 10.00am.

A Belated Christmas Eucharist
If you’re travelling over Christmas, or tied up with family, or even if you have people visiting you – here is your chance for a slightly belated Christmas Day service! Just as some people have their family Christmas on Boxing Day, so we are adding this extra Christmas celebration the day after Christmas. Of course, you’re welcome to ‘do’ Christmas twice, but be warned – it’s the same sermon both times!

This annual tradition features classic Christmas carols, choral items and traditional Christmas readings. Our parish choir will lead the singing accompanied by organist Rainjan Mills on the organ.

Eucharist for the fourth Sunday in Advent AND Nativity Rehearsal
St Cuthbert’s Church, Darlington
This is the final Sunday before Christmas, as we continue to get ready to come close to the mystery of Christmas. Immediately following the Eucharist, there will be a rehearsal for the nativity play. There are lots of roles to play - if you have a child or grandchild who would like to participate, bring them along on Sunday morning.
