MEGA COLLECTION for Koolkuna

We want to celebrate the completion of St Cuthbert’s restoration project by supporting Koolkuna. Thanks to the generosity of so many people, St Cuthbert’s Church will serve as a place of welcome and inclusion for years to come. We have been supporting Koolkuna for many years, and now we invite you to join in!

There are two ways to support Koolkuna:

  1. Prepare a bucket of household and personal items. This might include sponges, sprays, soap, toothpaste, floor cleaner – anything that would help someone starting a new household. Even the bucket is useful! Buckets can be dropped to St Cuthbert’s Church, corner Darlington and Hillsden Roads, Darlington. Please leave them at the rear of the church during the day, or just outside the main door during the evening. Don’t worry – we’ll find them!

  2. Donate to their important work here. If you like, you can click ‘Donating in Memory of Someone’ and write ‘St Cuthbert’s Church’. But you don’t have to – the important thing is to give!

The Eastern Region Domestic Violence Services Network Incorporated (also known as Koolkuna, an Aboriginal term meaning safe place) is a not-for-profit organisation and has been providing crisis accommodation and support services to individuals affected by and living with domestic violence in Perth for the past 27 years.

Koolkuna provides a Domestic Violence Advocacy Service, Supported Housing and Outreach, a Women’s Refuge and a Co-ordinated Response Service.

The culmination of this campaign will be on Sunday 21 March 2021, when the vast pile of buckets will be blessed by Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy. So let’s get to work!
